External data transmission

Data sent to A8.net

Recipient: FAN Communications, Inc. (A8.net). Data: IP address, user agent, cookies, and information about advertising impressions, views or clicks. Purposes: advertising delivery, aggregated advertising data and attribution of qualifying actions.

We use an A8.net impression image. Cookie transmission depends on browser settings. You can block third-party cookies or delete cookies in your browser; this alone does not stop image requests or transmission of the IP address and similar request data. Personal information entered on an advertiser website is handled under that provider’s policies.

Descript referral links and PartnerStack

Recipients: PartnerStack LLC. and Descript, Inc. Clicking a Descript referral link routes through PartnerStack attribution to Descript. IP address, browser information, referral identifiers and click information may be transmitted, and cookies may be used. Purposes include referral attribution, measurement of registrations and purchases, and fraud prevention.

Referral links also include the public article identifier and language to attribute results by article. Calculator inputs are not included. We do not load measurement images or scripts for these referral links. Information entered on the destination site and purchase data are handled under the respective providers' policies. You can visit the official site directly instead of using a referral link. Cookie controls are available in your browser and on the destination site; rejecting or deleting cookies does not itself stop network requests when you visit a site.

Current transmissions

Selected articles contain A8.net affiliate links and measurement images. Loading those articles contacts A8.net to load the image; clicking an advertising link routes through A8.net to the advertiser. Descript referrals use links only; clicking one routes through PartnerStack to Descript. We do not use third-party analytics, social or video embeds, or automatic affiliate-link conversion.
